Mary Corso is a professional touring vocalist and music educator who graduated from the Jackie McLean Institute of Jazz at the Hartt School of Music. Mary is strongly influenced by jazz in her style of singing. Mary performed and studied with jazz legends such as Steve Davis, Nat Reeves, and many more during her college years. After graduating from Hartt, she delved into a career of teaching music at two different schools (Children’s Community School and Brass City Charter School) in Waterbury, Connecticut, where she taught choir and general music. In addition to teaching in the public school system, she also has taught private voice lessons for the past 4 years. Aside from teaching, Mary has also toured all over the country this past year with blues guitarist and Grammy winner Eric Krasno (guitarist of Soulive and Lettuce). She’s performed with Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead as well as many other well known artists. She also tours with other projects such as her own band Broca’s Area and Beau Sasser’s Escape Plan.
