Beginner Guitar Class

About

A new class for beginning guitarists. No experience needed! Learn all these great skills: basic setup and tuning, basic chords and strumming patterns, how to read tabs, beginning fingerpicking techniques, playing and performing popular songs. Students will learn how to navigate the instrument well enough to play on their own, in groups, and to learn new songs on their own!

SESSION 2 (All Ages): Monday, July 15, 2019 through Friday, July 19, 2019 from 10:45 AM to 12:00 PM, daily

 

In FLORENCE

SATURDAY SESSION (All Ages): Saturday, July 6, 2019 through Saturday, July 27, 2019 from 10:45 AM to 12:15 PM, once a week on Saturdays

SESSION 3 (All Ages): Monday, July 22, 2019 through Friday, July 26, 2019 from 10:45 AM to 12:00 PM, daily

SESSION 4 (All Ages): Monday, July 29, 2019 through Friday August 2, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM, daily

Program Details

All Ages classes are for students entering middle school or high school and for adults.  No experience is necessary for our beginner classes.



		

Pricing

$125.00 per student. We have a variety of scholarships and discounts available. If you’re interested in an ensemble, but affordability is an issue, EMAIL US. We are committed to making our programs affordable for everyone to the best of our ability. Discounts are offered periodically throughout the spring. Scholarships are based on need. Beginner Guitar is run subject to a minimum enrollment of three students. If this program doesn’t work with your schedule, just give us a call. We’d be happy to look into adding more!

About The Instructor

Killian Karlsson has been a professional educator, session player, and nationally touring musician for the past 8 years. Since attending Berklee College of Music, he has played with many great artists including Alan Evans (Soulive, Play On Brother), Beau Sasser (Z3, Play On Brother, Melvin Sparks), DarbyWolf (Rubblebucket), and Miro Sprague (Thelonious Monk Institute Graduate) among others.  ::READ MORE::

About The Instructor

Chris Foe is an emerging composer whose work is performed and recorded widely throughout the New York, Boston, and Western Massachusetts areas. Originally from West Michigan, Chris graduated summa cum laude from the SUNY Purchase Conservatory of Music where he studied guitar and composition under the internationally-renowned Jazz guitarist, John Abercrombie. ::READ MORE::
