Summer Program 2019

We are thrilled to announce our Summer Program 2019! Scroll down to see a complete list of this year’s offerings. We are now offering weekend programs and programs for adults alongside our popular ensembles for middle and high school students.

In the past, all of our summer programs were for musicians with some experience with private lessons.  But now no experience is needed!  We are now offering 75 and 90 minute beginner guitar and ukulele classes to give participants a chance to try out a new instrument and gain some experience in a fun and affordable way.

We will now be offering some of our programs on Saturdays so that folks who aren’t available on the weekdays can join us!

In previous summers, we had only offered programs for middle and high school students.  This summer we’ll be offering a variety of programs for adults or for students of all ages.  Check out our Beginner Ukulele and Guitar Classes, Songwriting Workshops, and Guitar Improv Workshops for more details.

Our Summer Program runs in 5 sessions:

SESSION 1: July 8, 2019 through July 12, 2019, daily, Monday through Friday

SESSION 4: July 29, 2019 through August 2, 2019, daily, Monday through Friday

SATURDAY SESSION: July 6, 2019 through July 27, weekly on Saturdays

Middle School Programs: Middle School Programs are for students who are entering or currently attending 6th, 7th, and 8th grade.

High School Programs: High School Programs are for students who are entering or currently attending 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade.

Adult Programs: Adult Programs are for any students who will be 18 years of age or older by June 1, 2019.

All-Ages Programs:  All-Ages Programs are for any of the above groups.  Minimum age is students who are entering 6th grade.

For all programs with “Beginner” in the title, no experience is necessary.

For all other programs, recommended minimum experience is either two years of private instruction or two years of playing with a school ensemble. There is a questionnaire on our registration form that will ask for each student’s age and musical experience so that we can organize ensembles with students of similar backgrounds. It’s our goal to make sure everyone has an opportunity to feel successful and to enjoy the ensemble experience to the fullest so we take care in matching up students that will work well together.

Programs are run subject to a minimum enrollment.  For most programs, the minimum enrollment is three students. For our A Capella Choir, the minimum is five, and for our Musical Theater Workshop, the minimum is nine.

If your favorite program doesn’t work with your schedule, EMAIL US. We would be happy to explore the possibility of designing a program to fit your schedule. Many of our programs have a low minimum enrollment number of 3 students. If there is enough interest to meet the minimum enrollment, we can add additional programs.

Ensembles range in price from $125 to $299.00. However, we have a variety of scholarships and discounts available. If you’re interested in an ensemble, but affordability is an issue, EMAIL US.  We are committed to making our programs affordable for everyone to the best of our ability. Discounts are offered periodically throughout the spring. Scholarships are based on need.
