Alisha Lopez-Marrero

Trumpet teacher Alisha Lopez-Marrero is in her final year at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where she is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in Music.  Her current focus is trumpet performance, but she is also minoring in Economics, as well as pursuing a Certificate in Arts Management.  Alisha currently performs with the UMASS Symphony Band and has also performed with the UMASS Minuteman Marching Band.  She is a student of UMASS trumpet professor and renowned performing and recording artist Eric Berlin.  Alisha is also a visual artist with a focus on still-life pencil drawings.  As an educator, Alisha strives to allow her students to feel the success that comes with making steady progress.  She finds teaching most rewarding when she can see the growing self-confidence in her students.
