Evan Gianfriddo

Evan Gianfriddo is a versatile freelance musician based out of Woodstock, Connecticut. He is a multi-instrumentalist with a B.A. in music from Eastern Connecticut State University. He is an experienced and highly competent musician at both guitar and electric/upright bass, making contributions to the New England music scene on both instruments. 

Evan has performed at dozens of venues across New England in his short time as a gigging musician. He is both a sideman and band leader for many local ensembles. He has great experience in live music which ranges from jazz trios, combos, and jam sessions, to hip-hop, rock, and funk bands, and pits for musical theatre productions. While in his undergrad Evan led ECSU’s Jazz Combo for 3 years and began teaching. 

Evan has been teaching private music lessons for 6+ years in studios and freelance practices. He provides individual and group lessons in guitar, bass, ukulele, mandolin, music theory, jazz improvisation, as well as audio engineering and production. His goal is to equip students not only with technical proficiency but also with the confidence and skills to express themselves through music, whether the student's goal is to perform on stage, compose their own music, or simply play for fun.
