Dan Inglis
Dan Inglis is a freelance tenor, multi-instrumentalist, Master Trainer of Estill Voice Training, choral conductor, solfège nerd, YouTuber, and composer who is proud to partner with The Prindle School as their first teacher to offer all-online lessons. An alumna of his Dan Inglis Voice & Piano Studio placed on American Idol in 2022. Dan’s YouTube channel hosts Dan’s Solfège Trainer, the Ten Minute Piano Challenge, and other resources.
Dan graduated from Hampshire College and UMass Amherst and worked around the Pioneer Valley from 2000 to 2021. There, he built the Dan Inglis Voice & Piano Studio, directed the Hampshire College Chorus and barbershop chorus the Pioneer Valley Chordsmen, served as music director/organist at First Church of Christ in Longmeadow and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, appeared as a section or solo tenor with virtually every choral or opera ensemble, and was assistant director of Mak’hela and a charter tenor of the Illuminati Vocal Arts Ensemble. As a rock organist, guitarist, and vocalist, Dan has played and recorded with his sister Emilyn Inglis, the 10-piece Blues Dogs, Valley rock/Americana outfit Matt Byrde, and bluegrass trio Red Valley Fog. In Colorado, Dan taught grades 3-12 instrumental, choral, and musical theatre, arranging prolifically for string orchestra and the guitar family and serving as music director for Fiddler on the Roof!, Singin’ in the Rain Jr., Alice in Wonderland Jr., and Into the Woods Jr. He now lives in northern New Hampshire, where he is building a new worldwide collaborative music community, Mr. Dan’s Virtual Band.
